This week's question:
Who is your all-time favorite book villain?
Welcome to all of the new faces, and welcome back to the old ones!

Who is your all-time favorite book villain?
This one is hard. I love a well-written villain! I don't know if I can choose an all-time favorite, but one of the creepiest I've read is Leck from Graceling and Fire by Kristin Cashore. The things he can do are completely frightening! And one of my favorite standard douchebag type of villains would be Ambrose Jakis from The Name of the Wind and The Wise Man's Fear by Patrick Rothfuss. His characters are all amazing, and Rothfuss makes this jerkwad so easy to loathe!

Hi! Just stopping by on the hop. Oh! i can't believe I didn't even think of Leck. He was scary. Both as a child (in Fire) and an adult (in Graceling).
ReplyDeleteHave a great weekend :)

Hi, just hopping on by! I've only read Graceling, not Fire, but I remember Leck was quite the scary dude.

ReplyDeleteI've read Graceling, but I can't remember what happens! Ugh, my mind is somewhere else today.

Oooh, Leck, great choice. He is so utterly heinous. Creepiest moment is when he convinces his father to give him all of his food in the cave. Well, there are lots of creepy moments with creepy Leck, but that is the first one that comes to mind.
ReplyDeleteI'd say President Snow from The Hunger Games is another really scary villain. That whole thing with blood on his mouth? And leaving white flowers as his, "I'm gonna get you" calling card? He is creeeeepy!
I've actually not read these yet... another series to go on my TBR list!
