Top Ten Books I Resolve to Read in 2011

Top Ten Tuesday is a weekly meme hosted by The Broke and the Bookish, because top ten lists are fun.  Stop by the blog to check it out, to participate, and to see what everyone has put on their top ten this week.

There is an infinite amount of books that I want to read.  My to-read piles are growing faster than I can keep up with them!  But here are the ten that I may want to read the most this year and that I resolve to read no matter freaking what (in no particular order):
  1. The Wise Man's Fear by Patrick Rothfuss - Because The Name of the Wind is one of the best fantasies I've read.  Ever.  I lied earlier.  I want to read this one the most.
  2. Wither by Lauren DeStefano - How can you resist this cover?  And the plot sounds amazing, too.
  3. Divergent by Veronica Roth - I'm savagely curious about this one.  It could potentially be a fave.
  4. City of Fallen Angels by Cassandra Clare - Can't wait to see what is next for Clary and Jace
  5. Crossed by Ally Condie - Really interested in where the Matched storyline is headed in this sequel
  6. The Emperor of Nihon-Ja by John Flanagan - Love this little fantasy series about Rangers
  7. Steel by Carrie Vaughn - Pirates, 'nuff said.  No, wait.  Arrrr!  Now enough was said.
  8. Luminous by Dawn Metcalf - This chick can take her skin off.  How freaking awesome and creepy is that?
  9. Bumped by Megan McCafferty - Okay, so I have a thing for dystopias, regardless of how abundant they're becoming.  This one particularly piques my interest because the theme reminds me a bit of The Handmaid's Tale.
  10. The Belgariad series by David Eddings - Because my brother has been harassing me to read it for a while, it's his favorite, and I really should've read it by now.
What books do you really want to read or feel like you should read this year?

  5. Wither looks tempting to me as well. My daughter received Matched for Christmas so I hope to get my hands on that one soon :)
