I am challenging myself to read at least 20 books by debut authors in 2012, but I am hoping to read a lot more. That shouldn't be a problem, since there are approximately eleventy billion 2012 debuts that I would like to read.
Here are some of the books that I would really like to read for the challenge:
- Love & Leftovers by Sarah Tregay
- Under the Never Sky by Veronica Rossi
- Cinder by Marissa Meyer
- Tempest by Julie Cross
- The Gathering Storm by Robin Bridges
- Ditched by Robin Mellom
- Fracture by Megan Miranda
- Everneath by Brodi Ashton
- Incarnate by Jodi Meadows
- Born Wicked by Jessica Spotswood
- Arcadia Awakens by Kai Meyer
- Someone Else's Life by Katie Dale
- The Catastrophic History of You and Me by Jess Rothenberg
- Shooting Stars by Allison Rushby
- Undeadly by Michele Vail
- When the Sea Is Rising Red by Cat Hellisen
- Embrace by Jessica Shirvington
- Illuminate by Aimee Agresti
- Where It Began by Ann Redisch Stampler
- Grave Mercy by R.L. LaFevers
- Pretty Crooked by Elisa Ludwig
- Slide by Jill Hathaway
- Breaking Beautiful by Jennifer Shaw Wolf
- The Selection by Kiera Cass
- Hemlock by Kathleen Peacock
- Seraphina by Rachel Hartman
- Of Poseidon by Anna Banks
- Shift by Em Bailey
- My Life Next Door by Huntley Fitzpatrick
- Don't You Wish by Roxanne St. Claire
- Something Strange and Deadly by Susan Dennard
- Auracle by Gina Rosati

I'm joining for the first time ever this year, and I'm really excited :)
ReplyDeleteI am so happy to see Where It Began on your list, especially given the many wonderful books coming out next year. Thanks!
ReplyDelete@Alexa - Good luck! It's a fun challenge and I hope you find some new favorites.
ReplyDelete@Ann - I'm so happy to include it! It sounds like it'll be good.
I think I'm going to participate in this challenge for the first time this year. I'm sorta new to the whole challenges thing, but I have a friend who's going to work the challenge as a buddy-read with me. :)
ReplyDeleteI was going to say that I'm most looking forward to Veronica Rossi's Under the Never Sky, but when I looked at your list again, I realized that there were SEVERAL that I had already planned on reading.
P.S. Did your list already grow since this morning? I saw this post earlier, and I could swear there were only twenty-something books listed then. ;)
@starryeyedjen - Hahaha, yes. This morning I was at 24, I think. It'll be impossibly long by January.
ReplyDeleteI'm kind of afraid of the same thing happening to me, now that I've started. I've always been one to take on a little too much. I'll start with twelve, I think...one for each month maybe, and then I'll see how it progresses. Good luck getting through your list! :)
ReplyDeleteThanks so much for including Pretty Crooked!
ReplyDelete@Elisa - Happy to include it! I snagged it from NetGalley the other day and am looking forward to reading it.
