This week's question:
What is your usual monthly book budget?

Book budget whaaat??  If I try to set a budget for books, I am convinced that it would only lead to disaster.  I buy books when I have extra money, and when I'm broke I don't buy them.  Some months I may buy one book, and others I might buy ten.

This week's question:
If you find a book that looks interesting but is part of a series, do you always start with the first title?

Heck yes, I do!  I cannot stand to read a series out of order, and won't do it.

Welcome to all of the new faces, and welcome back to the old ones!
Here is some of what has been happening on my blog since last time:

  1. Hopping through and now following you!

Your comment about not having money meaning you don't buy books made me chuckle. I'm exactly the same way. If the bank is empty, so is my monthly book buys.

  7. Hey! I'm your newest follower; just stopping by on the hop to wish you a great weekend!

I hate reading books of a series out of order and try to avoid it. But sometimes it happens to me without even realizing it until I find myself completely lost. It pays to do your research before starting a new book!

  11. I can dive right into the middle of a book series if the series' story
    doesn't run chronologically.

That is to say, if each novel in a series is a stand-alone story (like Lee
Child's Reacher novels) then I don't feel the need to start with book one.

On the other hand, a series of books (like Richard Hatch's Battlestar
Galactica novels) can't be read out of sequence since each new book builds
upon the story of the previous entry in the series.

    Happy Book Blogger Hop Friday!

  14. Hi Jenny. I prefer reading series books in order. It adds to the build up of the overall series plot. New follower from the hop and follow Friday.

    Have a great weekend.
