I'm not sure about the others. I liked going back and finding out who he is and all that, but he should still be properly introduced to the audience in the novel, even if it's just her missing him sooner. It seemed unnatural for something like that to take so long to come up. But yeah, love Celaena and her little attitude.Jennyhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/09040331919135317537noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-1941745149455844814.post-79095728653729022952012-08-14T13:15:30.530-05:002012-08-14T13:15:30.530-05:00I'm rooting for Chaol, too. ;) I thought the...I'm rooting for Chaol, too. ;) I thought the mention of Sam came out of left-field, too, but I guess if I had read the four prequel stories, it might not have been so strange. I do plan to read those soon, though, so I'll report back. :) Celaena is now one of my fave protags. So badass, and yet she still has to deal with the pains of being a woman. I love a realistic heroine, even when the setting is one of fantasy. It definitely has its flaws. But I'm glad that you appreciate Celaena's girly badassery! I completely agree with what you said about a character being a feminine badass, rather than the stereotypical tomboy.Jenniferhttp://www.booksthatspark.comnoreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-1941745149455844814.post-45223340107469703882012-08-11T00:31:24.453-05:002012-08-11T00:31:24.453-05:00She kinda made me want to be a diamond-encrusted k...She kinda made me want to be a diamond-encrusted killer. I am dying to read Throne of Glass, but with all the hype it's good to get a hint that it's not perfect (and what book is?). 4.5? Yep. Still at the top of my TBR list!J.J.
